High-Performance Coupe: Choosing the Right One

With so many performance coupes available in America, it can be hard to choose the right one for you. Each automobile market, America, Europe, and Japan, offers a performance coupe that can be bought in America, from cheap and simple Ford Mustangs, to the expensive and high-tech BMW M3.

First up, the 2011 Nissan 370Z, starting at a base price of 31,200, with models going all the way to the NISMO 370Z, with a price tag of 40,580. The power plant is a 3.7 liter V6, which produces 332 horsepower. With a decent amount of factory accessories available the 370Z is an easy vehicle to make unique right from the factory. The touring model, which starts at 35,900, has the option of a Navigation Package for an extra 2,150.

Next, from Germany, is the BMW M3 Coupe, starting at 58,900. A 4.0 liter V8 supplies power to the wheels in this beast. It has more color options than the 370Z, but fewer accessories. By far the most expensive of the three cars, it is also the best respected. The M3 is widely regarded as one of the best performance coupes that money can buy.

Finally, the American icon, the Ford Mustang, starting at 22,145 for a base model with a 3.7 liter V6, and going all the way up to the 5.4 liter supercharged V8 Shelby GT500, with a base price of 48,645.
With very limited factory options and accessories, it can still be customized with the plethora of aftermarket parts offered by third party manufacturers. As a car, the mustang is the most versatile of the three with six different coupe models all ranging between 22,145 and 48,645.

It is hard to pick a best car because circumstances can vary. If you have enough money and want the best, the M3 is for you. Trying to cut back but still want a hot rod? Go with the Mustang. Whatever your situation, there is a great performance coupe out there for you.
